The Bible teaches us that we have an eternal soul that will spend an eternity with God in Heaven or separated from God in the Lake of Fire. Revelation 20:10, 14-15
The Good News is that God through the shed blood of Jesus Christ has provided a payment for our sins.
The Bible teaches that we are all sinners separated from God.
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
God says that payment for our sins is physical and spiritual death.
Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death…”
It is only by faith in what Christ has done on the cross that can save us from our sins. No good work, baptism, church attendance etc. can earn our way into heaven.
Ephesian 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
God has determined that a blood sacrifice is required for the payment of sins. Yet, the blood of sheep and goats was never enough to fully atone for man’s sin. Because God loved us, He sent his Son to die in our place.
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Once a person realizes that they are a sinner in need of a Saviour and if by faith, they call out to God, trusting only in Christ’s shed blood on the cross as payment for their sins, they will be saved!
Romans 10:9-10, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
If you believe you are a sinner and want to be saved, call out to God, telling him that you believe that Jesus, being God, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for your sins, arose from the grave, and that you are trusting in Christ and His sacrifice as payment for your sins.
If you have just called out to the Lord for salvation, Praise the Lord! Please let us know so that we can rejoice with you. If you have any questions at all, we are more than willing to talk with you.
